Copenhagen Carnival is one of Copenhagen's largest cultural events with its allmost 200,000 spectators, ca. 100 bands on eight stages and numerous other events.

Copenhagen Carnival has its own marketing and public relations department which through a comprehensive marketing strategy each year ensures the carnival massive coverage in all major Danish media.

Besides the carnival the Copenhagen Carnival Foundation also creates other cultural events. Among them a big 'Fastelavn' celebration for children, in collaboration with the National Museum, and the Copenhagen Island, a giant beach party, held at Amager Strand.
