You can become a part of a unique community as a voluntary in The Copenhagen Carnival Foundation. We need many different skills and your work contributes to the foundation and its purpose.

We are a delightful mix of volunteers. Some has been here right from the start in the 80’s, others are completely new to Copenhagen Carnival. Most important is your will to become a part of the community and the party that constitutes the activities of The Copenhagen Carnival foundation. How much you get involved is up to you.

Things can get busy "when the music is playing". Therefore it is essential that you can stick to a deal. We have many different types of tasks, and we can surely find one, that fits you and the level of commitment you seek.

Participate from event to event.

In practice, most volunteers in The Copenhagen Carnival Foundation participate on an event to event basis. It means, that you can decide whether you have time and motivation to participate in the Carnival 2010 or another one of The Copenhagen Carnival Foundation's events. When you sign up you enter our volunteer database and receive invitations to participate in coming events – typically a couple of moths before the date of the event.

To be a volunteer means a lot of opportunities.

Voluntary work can become a stepping stone to new and exciting world. It can giver you relevant experience for e.g. a future job og hobby. We have many types of task, and you usually get to pick your own way of helping. Here are a some examples of contributing:

 

• Backstage/Stage Crew
• Bartender
• Security crew
• Administrative tasks
• Managing duties

 

Volunteer in the office

We are continuously looking for permanent voluntaries for the office. In these positions it is expected, that you puts in regular working hours in shorter or longer periods all year-around.

In return we can offer you a lot of experience in a large organization working with culture. Amongst other things, you will be introduced to our extensive network of partners and through this expand your own network of valuable contacts which is vital in the business. Furthermore you will learn to work with budgeting, organizational work on a professional level, and get coaching throughout the process. This may become your stepping stone to an exciting job in the future, that requires the relevant experience.
